Little Staggies

Meet the Team

Team work makes the dream work!

At Little Staggies, we pride ourselves on how well our team work together to make sure the nursery is safe and fun for our wee gems! We frequently hold team building exercises to enhance the bond between everyone who works at the nursery. Part of the result of this is a low staff turnover. This improves continuity of care for your babies and children.

Stacey Stewart

Childcare Manager
Hi I am Stacey the owner and childcare manager of Little Staggies Early Learning Centre. I am responsible for the day to day running of the business and for the team of Early Years Practitioners. I cannot express enough how passionate I am about this field of work. I want to be able to provide a centre where children learn creatively and naturally flourish. I believe that Little Staggies lives up to this ethos and have a great team behind us who provide a high standard of care and learning opportunities to every individual child.

Hi my name is Rebecca, I'm a fully qualified practitioner working as the senior in the Pre-School room. I've always had a passion for providing great play and learning experiences for children and since having my own children this passion has flourished. I have worked with kids for 5 years now through Childsmile in the NHS then being a key member of a private nursery within Inverness following the Curriculum for Excellence.

I’m Dionne and am currently working as the senior in the toddler room. I have a wide range of knowledge and experience over 12 years working in early learning and childcare, residential care and from being a nanny. I am qualified in health and social care and am currently undertaking my SVQ 3 to become fully qualified. After having my son, who currently attends the baby room, I realised my passion and heart truly lies with providing children the opportunities and support to grow, learn and develop.

Hi my name is May, I am the fees administrator for Little Staggies. I enjoy the busy and lively atmosphere that comes with working at Little Staggies. My role is to deal with the monthly invoices of the childcare fees, answer the telephone and general office administration. In my spare time I enjoy cycling to work (when Scottish weather allows it) and looking after my beautiful grandchildren, one of which currently attends the setting.

I’m a fully qualified early years practitioner working in the pre-school room. I have always had an interest in how children learn and develop this lead to me to gaining a qualification in early years in 1999. I have worked with children from babies to their first year at school gaining insightful knowledge of how children learn and the importance of close connections with home and culture, as this influences how children see their world. I also have valuable experience with children with additional needs and held a position of special needs co-ordinator in a nursery in Plymouth.

My name is Kayleigh and I'm a fully qualified practitioner working with the toddlers. I always knew I wanted to work with children as I have younger brothers and have always enjoyed spending time with them and I have also previously done babysitting for a few families that I know and I loved it. I thoroughly enjoy helping the toddlers grow and develop and support them in becoming independent as well as learning about their wider world.

My name is Niamh and I am a fully qualified practitioner working with the babies. I have always wanted to work with children as it is something, I am quite passionate about. I thoroughly enjoy working here and giving the children new and exciting learning opportunities to support them to thrive and develop.

My name is Kelsey and I am a Modern Apprentice at Little Staggies. I am currently learning on the job from the skilful and supportive practitioners at the setting. Through-out my apprenticeship I will gain the knowledge and understanding to support children learn and grow in all areas of their development. I have a little childcare experience through volunteering at the Muir of Ord Beavers and the Mary burgh brownies.

My name is Louise, I am passionate about early learning and childcare and am currently working in Little Staggies as a relief practitioner. I have worked in tow pervious early learning and childcare settings that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have two young children myself and love spending time with them and babysitting for family and friends. I also have experience looking after children with additional needs due to personal circumstances and really enjoy supporting all children to learn and develop in the nurturing Little Staggies environment.

Danielle E

My name is Danielle, and I am a modern apprentice within Little Staggies currently working towards my SVQ. I have had some previous experience working with children at Dingwall Primary Nursery. I have always felt passionate about working with children and this passion was grown through helping to care and support for younger family members. I am enjoying learning on the job with the help and support from the all wonderful practitioners at the nursery.

Hi, I’m Danielle and I am delighted to be welcomed into the Little Staggies family and that of your children too. I’m currently embarking on my SVQ to become a fully qualified practitioner and am currently placed in the baby room and enjoy working with their individual needs to support them to grow and develop. I am looking forward to the journey and meeting you all along the way.

My name is Courtney, and I am currently a relief practitioner at Little Staggies. I have previous experience working with multiple age groups at another nursery. At present I am currently unqualified but am eager to start working towards my SVQ . My passion lies in looking after children and being a positive contributor to their development.

I’m Erin and I work mornings in the baby room. I am currently studying to achieve my SVQ and have always enjoyed interacting with children and after I had my son, I decided that I wanted a rewarding career change. It has been so nice meeting all the children and I am excited to supporting them learn, play and have fun.

I’m Beatrice, a qualified early years practitioner and I work as relief at Little Staggies. I enjoy working in all three rooms seeing the children develop and learn. I encourage creative play through expressive arts, where curiosity and problem solving promotes children’s confidence and resilience, whilst being a lot of fun.

Hi my name is Connor; I am originally from Stirling/Falkirk area where I completed my apprenticeship. Since then, I have gained a wealth of experience in childcare where I have worked my way up from an apprentice to an early years practitioner in a range of different nurseries, I have also been an au pair in France where I helped look after and support a busy working family. I have been working at Little Staggies since Spring 2021 and I have been welcomed by Stacey and all the staff. I am really enjoying my time here and I feel privileged to be part of the Little Staggies team and community.
